The chart is next to useless. Basically, it shows that war cost money in excess of tax revenues. The problem now is that the ratio of revenues to debt is rising without a major war.
The current ratio is about 9.8% ($3.1T in and $31.5T in debt). Deficit spending is still $1T/year plus interest.
