I only use it for the typical monthly bills, so I don't care. But I nearly canceled my Citi Visa via Costco. My son uses it for gas and pays his bill. He'd signed up for a year subscription and then changed his email and couldn't get into his account to change it and cancel it. When the charge came up for the next year, I tried to contact that company literally a few days of it being charged and couldn't get any contact via phone and anything else. Citi was my next step and it went on for a couple months and then, Citi claims that the merchant disagreed, so tough.
Having had merchant accounts for a long time, I know that the company can take the money back even if you are in the right. Customer is king. Not with Citi. I had to raise hell, demand a supervisor, and they were so nice offering me about 80-85% out of the goodness of their hearts. I took it. I'd already waster more time than it was worth which is what people will do, give up.
AMEX is a different animal. One call and quickly done.
