I know what you mean. We've got some round LED ceiling light and it's just a circuit board full of LED chips when you open the cover to install them. They're on a motion/light sensor switch and they go on automatically and turn off after 10 minutes. They've been there for about 10 years.
In the She-Shed, I put in two 3 foot LEDs and it lights up the 10x20 shed like day.
