Sure, comparing tacos and burritos as all Mexican food is like comparing hamburgers as all American food. We used to go down to Ensenada, Puerto Nuevo and Rosarita a lot with my wife loving the chicken mole. Different areas are different outside of the tourist traps and we've been all over from Mexico City to Cabo, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cacun etc. Sadly, we haven't been down there for the last 10 years or so, partly due to fear of the violence which is likely unfounded.

A favorite is the Estero Beach Hotel in Ensenada. The restaurant is great with their huevos motuleños being the perfect hangover breakfast.
