And I think half of those must be in my area alone.
Seems like every six weeks or so something else around the DFW area blows up. Atmos Energy, the gas supplier in these parts, has miles and miles and miles of underground gas lines that have known defective pipe couplers that are prone to leakage. It's much cheaper to put out individual fires and rebuild than it is to dig up all those miles of pipe and fix it.
I used to complain about not having gas heat, stove, oven, etc. in our all electric home, but now I've come to see it as a blessing in disguise.
