My neighbor is a major biker. His crew and their ladies even went to the Tour De France to watch and ride the Alps.
On our trip down the Oregon Coast, you've got a windy, 2 lane road with a white line usually marking the edge of the lane and maybe 3 or 4 inches of blacktop before you're in the dirt. Some crazy bikers were riding these roads. If you happen upon a semi truck with a load of logs, you either slow down for the bike or knock him off the road.
My neighbor does prefer his gravel bike and trails, so he's not too crazy.
