RE: Colorado River & Lake Mead Report - Water Shortage out West

This morning's paper was all about the issues.

Sadly, California has done next to nothing to mitigate the problem. After a road trip from Seattle down along the Oregon coast, there's plenty of water we could be diverting to CA. Of course, another desalinization plant was knocked down in Huntington Beach which would have helped. A toilet to tap project in San Diego has been hung up for years and needs a few more billions to get to the next step.

Meanwhile, it seems to me that either we take the water from the farmers and starve or we stop building houses and apartments in CA and limit the number of people living here.
