I would expect that satellite photos would have popped up everywhere on the internet if there had really been something to observe and define. The Ukrainian news services haven't put out anything specific that I've seen since I read the initial article and they celebrate every failed attack or misstep of the Russian forces.
I have read explanations about satellite photos of the Saki Airbase explosions. The article said that the munition bunkers weren't the source of the explosions. The photos supposedly showed that there were craters some 30 meters wide which is thought to be larger than any that could be created by missiles that are currently in the Ukrainian arsenal. An unidentified source in the Ukraine Defense Ministry said that the explosions were caused by the actions of their special forces operators. Maybe there were fuel trucks that were targeted. It would help if I knew how to identify the different kinds of smoke that rises after a strike. I'll wait for more definitive info in the next few days. Whatever it was that happened, it really put a hurt on the tourism trade in Crimea.
