My parents live in an assisted living center in Gardner, MA. They moved in just before the pandemic set in from a house that my father and his brothers built. We moved into that house three weeks after I was born. With my father being 96 YO and my Mom at 95 YO, it's something that I never expected and sometimes feel is difficult to deal with even though I live about 1400 miles away from them. Fortunately, my brother lives about 25 miles away from them in Rutland, MA so they're not without nearby family.
Just be your best to be prepared for today, day after day.
