As dusk deepened tonight, we were a little surprised to see a large black bear amble out of the woods down behind our shed. We were quite a bit more surprised to see two quite small cubs trot out behind her!

I grabbed the camera, tried a few photos with little luck...

then -- as the family moved across the back field, I grabbed a zoom tele, ran upstairs and snapped more photos.
None of the photos turned out very well, but they're what I've got, so I'm sharing them. ;)

What could have been the best photo unfortunately turned out to be the worst, as one of the cubs (literally) stood up to mom.
