Ukraine is presently training an initial 200,000 reserve troops with a projected availability of August. More will be available after that when they have also been trained and equipped. No one should be surprised if the Ukrainian forces fight a delaying retreat strategy where they make the Russians pay dearly for every bit of territory that they might gain with blood and lost equipment.
At present, Russia has shown little ability to enlist new troops or find adequate mercenaries to replace their losses. Only a nation wide mobilization can significantly increase their numbers and that would be a massive CF because unless the mobilized troops are adequately trained, they will be merely cannon fodder. If the Russians have been terrible at logistics so far, consider what it would take to get that cannon fodder into the battle. The kleptocracy would probably go for it but would the populace?
The next two months are going to be tough sledding for Ukraine.
