Inflation in Canada continues to soar, with 6.8 per cent increase in April

I have certainly noticed the increases here in Hong Kong - I believe gas prices here are now the highest in the world.

Still, the increase in Canada is considerably higher but HK had a higher floor.

I am seeing the big increases in the prices of meat/fish albeit they were always pretty high but are now really high. A 12oz package of that Oscar Meyer Turkey bacon runs $12USD in Hong Kong which seems insane to me. Granted I have not lived in North America for a long time but that's $15 Canadian and seems like it was $4 or something back there.

It's an import country and all but wow. Here is the Hong Kong Information - they claim it is 21% less expensive than New York - which Holy Frak New York must cost a bomb these days.

The conversion is roughly $7.8HKD to $1 USD
