Given the distance of nearby solar systems that might support life forms and the limitations of travel speeds as we understand physics at the moment, should the UAPs truly be scouting missions of a belligerent and intelligent life force, it will probably be a long time before any invasion shows up in numbers. Even if they showed up tomorrow morning, any life form with the science and technology to accomplish such a feat would likely be more than current weapon systems could deal with.
We could hope for some virus as in HG Wells "War of the Worlds" or that cheesy "Independence Day" movie to save us but I wouldn't count on it.
