...the longer that everyone keeps him and his gang at/near the top of the news-cycle every day, the longer he and his gang will be around. Adding gasoline to the fire every day, keeping their names in the spotlight at the top of the headlines every day is just stroking their egos and rallying their supporters. Let them go "dark" and wither away.
The "opposition" is performing/conducting half of Trump's campaign right now, by keeping him at the top of TV and other media sources every day. Ever heard the old Hollywood adage--"any press is good press?"--especially if the "prosecutions" are failing. At this point, if no one can get him behind bars before the next election, all of this "effort" is just strengthening his position.
