I've used this analogy before, but if I see my neighbor come home drunk every night and beat the shit out of his wife and kids and choose to turn a blind-eye, am I not complicit? Or--as long as he doesn't shut our gas and oil off, we can let him have Ukraine? After all, we turned them down as a member of the NATO "club".
