...they removed almost all mask mandates (around here), including for schools. Now they are re-instituting mask mandates district by district, and other venues/public gatherings. Numbers are on the climb.
We'll never learn--"lather, rinse, repeat". As soon as we make any "gains", we throw caution to the wind and go out and party like rock stars--and then are surprised when a new wave of infections/illness crashes upon us.
I realize that everyone (including myself) are "tired" of the restrictions/mandates of the last couple years, but some of us are "smart enough" to still avoid high-risk scenarios/behaviors. This isn't "over".
Our guests were all vaccinated in Ukraine (with Pfizer). Several had or may have had Covid before being vaccinated. They were all administered booster shots by the Red Cross while detained in Germany, prior to gaining entry into the US, so they are all up to date, in that respect.
I warned (long ago) that this current prevailing attitude of "Omicron--it's not so bad" was bad judgment. Spin the wheel and see what the next variant looks like?--it might not be so "harmless".
