...early-on in this conflict, Russia's two primary national airlines (Aeroflot and S7) suspended international flights because they were leased from western companies/manufacturers, and feared that they would be seized upon landing at "unfriendly" airports--essentially being repossessed.
Now, their largest shipping group (Sovcomflot) is facing a similar situation. To pay-off debts owed to western financial institutions, they are being forced to sell-off ~1/3 of their entire fleet, or risk seizure (repossession) of vessels as they attempt to port.
