...they eat better than many humans. Dark (the "dark" in my moniker) is a German Shepherd, and I recently acquired a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy that the owners didn't realize what they were getting into.

Their primary diet is Blue Wilderness, and they always have two flavors available, and those rotate so they don't get bored. But they also get "bites" of everything I eat--and I tend to "eat well".

When Dark was a puppy, he was eating Royal Canin, but then stopped. I cooked for him for over a month until I got him on the Blue Wilderness. I grilled/poached chicken, salmon, tuna, swordfish, venison, rabbit, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, brown rice, and everything else known to man during that time. He really likes smoked gouda and blueberries--he'll kill you for a pint of blueberries or a wedge of smoked gouda.

They're like kids, and mine are treated as such. Hell, their medical records are probably more complete than mine.
