Inmate Central, where civil and family-friendly discourse about off-audio topics (other than religion and politics) is welcome.

Well--look at the process...

...depending on what level of magistrate or judge, they are either elected or appointed--nothing "political" there, right?

You also do realize that (and it varies state-by-state, jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction) that medical examiners/coroners and county sheriffs are elected positions, and have no requirements for a medical degree or a background in criminal justice. Anybody can get their name on the ballot, and possibly get elected to the position.

"And today is for sale and it's all you can afford. Buy your own admission. The whole things got you bored. Well the Lord chooses the good ones, and the bad ones use the Lord"--a very dear friend for decades Michael Stanley (Gee)--RIP
