...yeah, I found that a little "odd", but it was an indestructible engine--just like the Ford 300 I-6. As I posted, I'd put a Cummins diesel in it, and it would be fine for me. The frame probably looks like a chunk of RR track, and that "clunky" tranny and clutch would probably work in a dozer or tractor in terms of strength.
My current truck can tow a house trailer (2019 Silverado diesel), but the interior is like a Cadillac. You can't exactly "hose-out" an interior that is fully-carpeted with heated leather power seats.
