Ferrari has an international registry/database. When I had my 458, I was approached by a buyer from CA who wanted my specific car, based on some rare factory options--that I wasn't even aware were all that rare. He paid me almost $100K more than I paid for the car to get his hands on it--SOLD!
I could sell my GT for twice what I paid for it, right now, but I like the car too much--it's staying.
