Speaking of bad airports - go to LAX - Toronto will seem like heaven in comparison.
I only encountered regular staff at both and LAX folks were friendly and tried to help me. It's more the building looks like it is falling down.
And what is with charging $5 for using a baggage cart? Seriously? Same for San Fran I believe. Are you that hard up that you have to bilk people to use a baggage cart. One lady working there told me to use the wheelchair as they were free - huh - so someone needing a wheelchair would not have one when they needed it?
Baggage carts are free in Hong Kong and Vancouver and Toronto. Seriously charge a 0.2% tax on the food and drinks at the airport and use it to cover the damn carts. FFS!
