There's a lot of resistance from some Congresscritters over negotiation of drug prices. It's working out for the VA and has been for quite a while. If Medicare were able to negotiate, then things would change for the better for millions of Americans. The thing is that by law Medicare can't negotiate prices. That law was initiated during the second Bush administration. It seems like a slam dunk to change the present status in an appeal to the voting demographic that shows up reliably at the polls.
