The problem I have seen with the Jayhawks is that they sometimes play down to their opponents level. That doesn't always work out. However, when they play well, it takes a team with their hair on fire to keep up with them. It's going to take more than Obaji to get to the Final Four. McCormack has a foot problem that can flare up and while Lightfoot has been good lately, McCormack's wide body is needed to play with the other bruisers down in the paint. Braun and Wilson are certainly earning their scholarships, Harris makes a difference, and the return of Remy Martin is encouraging. Bench depth is just so-so.
This year is going to take a foot on the gas approach that doesn't let their opponent catch their breath. There have been too many upsets of quality, blue blood teams in the conference championships for the Jayhawks or any other contender to take any game for granted.
