All of these covid shutdowns and home deliveries have replaced the family sedan with more fuel hungry delivery trucks.Instead of the more fuel efficient family car making a pilgrimage to a central [fill in the blank] supply hub to pick up all of its supplies in 1 trip, a truck has to be rolled to each abode for each item ordered.
Before draconian lockdowns and mass hysteria, that truck would make a single trip the supply hub and not each home. The lock downs have displaced smaller vehicle usage with larger fuel hogs.
Part of the green-new-steal program ???
Not to mention killing off many of the normally accessible local supply hubs in the process. A moment of silence for Frye's.
