A nutcase in Putin has nothing to lose.
He reminds of those nut mass shooters. They know they'll get shot and killed by the police but want to go out taking out as many people as they can along with them.
Now give that guy the leadership of a country with 6,500 Nukes and then what?
Is there anyone in the Russian military who will intervene and not push the button when commanded to do so? If Putin orders the military to fire all missiles and hit NY, California, Paris, London, Tokyo etc - will someone say no? A bunch of 19-year-old brainwashed kids following orders.
At least the US military has generals with brains who can intervene - there are at least checks and balances of some degree - but an absolute power-mad dictator?
