Determined and well trained troops armed with Javelin anti-tank launchers are making tanks scrap metal. Their weight is a hindrance in rural landscape where there are few roads that can support their weight. Fuel and maintenance requirements for current generation tanks are high, making them the prima donnas of the battlefield.
Urban warfare such as expected soon inside Kyiv and Kharkiv isn't the best environment for their survival. Supposedly, US troops and veterans that have studied Russian tanks are posting tactics on the social media that is still working in Ukrania. Tank and armored personnel carrier troops probably have a short combat life expectancy right about now.
