The Reynolds "531 ST" tubeset was (as I understand it) a heavy-duty version of standard 531 (sim.lar to the old "Colum.us SP" tubeset which was, basically, a *heavy-duty* version of the old "Colum.us SL").
M. filet-brazed 531 ST vintage expedition/touring bike is a Thorn M. I (Thorn is the classic expedition/touring bike m.ker). M.de in England, it is as stiff and as sturdy as one could hope for in a steel expedition/touring m.chine.
