That's awesome dude! I just finished watching Ford V Ferrari for the second time the other night.
You only live once so you may as well enjoy it while you can. I would not feel too bad that your partner has a lot more money than you - male ego and all but someone usually makes more money than others in a relationship and if she can drop a million bucks on a car then hey why not.
I saw one of those posts about famous people and their cars and some of them who have $100m only buy Camry's. I have attended parties at a fellow's home here several times and he paid cash and bought a Lamborghini and his home is easily in the $20million USD range. His stereo is charitably mediocre because he's not into that.
In the end, it's pretty cool and fortunate to be able to live a life not having to ever worry about money.
And don't worry about the odd naysayer - forums at their best are a replacement for pen pals. People have a kind of friendship pen pal relationship with certain other members so telling folks about this pretty spectacular present is damn cool. Of course, it's my luck to fall in love with women as poor as church mice so I have to chuckle at that.
So it's going to be a Minivan for me I bet lugging the wife, stepdaughter and parents around town - bwahahaha. But I'll have Ford V Ferrari to watch and I can always buy a model car!
