Seriously, why not punish the owner of the gun, at least somewhat ?
And don't reply with "well, what about the owners of the hammers and the baseball bats". They aren't classified as weapons and don't kill people from a distance.
I'm not trying to be a troll here, or argumentative. Like you (I think), I'd like to see less gun violence.
As you pointed out, the laws are in place. They obviously aren't a deterrent.
Is our society just too far gone and if we would like less gun violence, we need to move to another country?
