As you know I live in Hong Kong but in a few years, I intend to move back to Canada. She is a caregiver and works for a very wealthy Chinese family looking after a mentally disabled lady who is in her 40s but has the mind of a 4-year-old. She works 6 days a week there and we meet on her day off.
If I marry her, she can move in and get a better job at 2.5 times the salary and work fewer days. She is educated and can get a work visa in Canada without getting married.
My alternative is that I can hire her as a domestic helper and pay the agency $800 or so a month but I feel this is a dick move to string her along until I leave her and go back to Canada.
I am 99% sure she's being honest - that's kind of why the prenup exists though - just to cover that 1%.
