Perhaps you realize your attitude is nothing new? Do you fancy yourself Louis XI or Marie Antoinette?You also can read about your attitudinal ancestors decrying the help meted out to the poor in Dicken's London. Or to the 25% unemployed during the Depression.

I choose not to hate those misfortunate enough to be indigent: no one willingly chooses that life. If you don't understand that, you've led a very sheltered, privileged life.
