Inmate Central, where civil and family-friendly discourse about off-audio topics (other than religion and politics) is welcome.

I'm not blaming anyone for being poor.

I was raised in a household where we could have used some help. One month, I shelled corn and took it to the mill and had it ground into corn meal. I milked an older black ladies cow for her and we got half the milk. We ate cornbread and milk for dinner that entire month. No food assistance was available in those days.

This was a discussion about food choices and I just pointed out that people on government assistance food programs can make poor choices. Trust me if my mom could have gotten food assistance, she wouldn't have bought junk food and it wouldn't have been spent at McDonalds.
