Your solution, then, is, "let 'em die".

I'd ask, "What causes these folks to have a lifestyle that's harmful?" And, "What can be done?"---- because, even if you don't care about human life, you probably care about the enormous cost of having so many, so sick.

Do you say to those addicted to oxycodone or fentanyl--- "Toodaloo?" I hope not. Yet, those are also largely a problem of poverty.

I'd post, just throwing it out there now, that when humans have little hope, when they don't see much of a future for themselves, they become self-destructive.

Where we profoundly differ, Dave, is that I think society OWES it to its citizens to help them when that very system has created the conditions that lead to those outcomes.
