there's body types and genetic factors involved that determine how carbs and fats are metabolized, 'food deserts' rendering access to healthy foods anywhere from impractical to impossible, powerful psychological influences on the behavioral aspects of obesity ... some have the agency to change these things while other's don't
there's a spectrum involved of those who could but won't
to those that can't but would, and everything in between
I don't judge or body shame ... but I've shopped Walmart many times
btw, I've known a few chunky looking dudes with 6' vertical standing jumps and some gals around the 300lb mark that can bench their own weight
one was an aunt that made it to 85! she wasn't pushing iron by then, but still ...
