"Low-income was highly associated with overweight/obese status (p < 0.0001), whereas the effect of race/ethnicity (p = 0.27) and its interaction (p = 0.23) with low-income were not statistically significant. For every 1% increase in low-income, there was a 1.17% increase in overweight/obese status".
Now, the interesting question is why are our poor--- and this holds true for poor nations, as well--- becoming more obese?
Another interesting question is why don't the same who blame obesity on the poor also just say the hell with them over the fentanyl and oxycodone epidemics?
Isn't it more humane, and actually wiser from an economic standpoint, to find out the reasons and address those instead of hating on these folks? I don't understand the rage against the losers in our capitalist system. Really, where does it come from?
