I'm a bit paranoid about the fires. The scariest were outflow from storms that had the flames being blown with 60MPH winds towards us. One fire, the flames, wind and storms were three nights in a row, until finally the storms put out the fires. The most eventful was a 500,000 plus acre fire that ended up being put out at the edge of the Mesa as it threatened power lines feeding Phoenix. They used a lot or aerial resources, setting up a water source at the local elementary school for helicopter buckets.
