Built like tanks (still).
Typing on an ancient T440s, and I still also use an even older T430 that I use for the course I teach in Boston; my cannon fodder laptop.
The hinges won't fail on these. Plus... oaf that I am, I've dropped both of them onto hard flooring a couple of times (each) without damage (other than scuffs).
I tired of Dell lappies a long time ago, although their top-end series are more rugged than the cheap ones.
