I wish - they actually don't generate much heat at all. Indeed, the 2a3 Empress amps don't even generate much light. I've gone to bed forgetting to turn them off.
So when people laugh at McIntosh for making their tubes glow blue/green I don't have a problem with that - at least you know they're on!
