It's really hard when talking about who the greatest singers are if we have not heard them all. Gaga's early pop music rose her to stardom and she has used that to enter other genres. So it's hard because there are a lot of great singers who aren't well known.

Take Glennis Grace - most people don't know her but she is arguably as good Whitney Houston and covers a lot of Houston songs - and she's just as pretty. But she still hasn't found the big success.

I am also a big fan of the American Singer LP but she uses a lot of vibrato in the Stevie Nicks style so that is not to everyone's taste. But LP has a pretty terrific vocal.

Surprisingly Ariana Grande is somewhat underrated as a vocalist - she doesn't really sing my kind of music but as she grows up she may choose to stretch out beyond pop and might surprise someone.

This Opera Singer (a good reaction channel) covered LP singing Halo. LP has finally become successful as I have been on about her for the last 7 years or so and I am please she is getting some recognition.

Totally different kind of music from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett mind you.
