Most people drive the 10-15K annually. Most people want a new(er) car in their driveway/garage. I don't rack-up a bunch of miles on any particular vehicle either, because I drive multiple vehicles, but when the warranties run-out on the truck and Suburban, I'll probably buy new ones. Don't know what I'll do with the Tesla.
But you incessantly bitch about "your kind of car" going away. Maybe if you bought one (or several over the years), they would still be offered. Prices--talk to your union brothers. I'd close plants too, if I had to pay those wages and bennies--and then you defend the flaws, because the robots do all the assembly--WTF do the workers do?
Enjoy your car and drive it 'til one of you drops. BTW--a Cobalt SS with a sunroof and all the gizmos is far from a base/strippo model. It's not on-par with a new 2021 vehicle, but it was pretty close to TOTL for that model/year.
"And today is for sale and it's all you can afford. Buy your own admission. The whole things got you bored. Well the Lord chooses the good ones, and the bad ones use the Lord"--a very dear friend for decades Michael Stanley (Gee)--RIP
