Thanks for the laugh. Manufacturers don't "abandon" new car buyers--emphasis added to BUYERS. If everyone WANTED and BOUGHT what you think a car should be, they'd still be building and selling them. If you (and 50,000 of your like-minded cohorts) actually bought a new Focus or Fiesta every 2-4 years, they'd still be here. But if that pathetic little manual-tranny Focus sits on the lot for 9 months while people are on waiting lists for an F-150 or Explorer--what do you think I'll be building/selling? Products (all products) come and go. If they SELL, they tend to stick around. If they don't, they go away.
