Yeah, well, parity in the Pac-12 has been a killer for the last decade. The SEC still has two big bullies with a few that can pull of an upset here or there. While I agree that many schools schedule cupcakes, most have one ot two at the beginning for warm ups. The SEC has gotten better with Auburn and LSU taking on Ohio St and UCLA for a first game. But, I swear, particularly during the BSC days, Alabama and most of the others didn't play anyone of note out of conference. That's why it's so hard to determine how good the conference really is because there are few comparisons against other Power 5 programs.

We can only hope that the new CFB system has the Power 5 Champs plus 3 at large. I know the SEC is angling for a 12 team playoff so they can get 6 spots, but that's just too much.
