I mainly do things myself, but I have a Tacoma and the dealer was replacing timing chains for $250. That is about half of indy price and I couldn't pass it up. Another time I was changing front axle CV's and again the dealer was significantly less than independents and barely more than I would pay for parts. I'm sure these are anomalies, I was certainly surprised.
