RE: How possibly could one object to enforcement of tax laws? Current ones.

Education has been largely gutted

I don't disagree with you - these billionaires are dishonest and want to protect their cash - that is their sole goal. No argument for me.

But the stock market is part of the economy - it's not THE economy but if I invest $30,000 and put in $300 a month in 10 years with a 10% interest rate you will have $135,000+ (that was a bit lower than the VOO stock of the S&P500 index fund over a 10 year period from November 2000 to November 2020.

That does have an impact on the economy because when you pull your money out of it when you retire - you have a lot more "stuff" you can buy with your money than had you just stuck it in the bank or wasted it on a too-expensive car.

Perhaps Iceland had the answer - treating corporate and white-collar crime as seriously as your average murderer. If there was some law where if Jeff Bezos would get 35 years in harsh prison for trying to loophole his way out of the "spirit of taxation" then you can bet a weak ass punk like him would tow the line - he'd be happy to settle for $100 billion instead of $210billion if it meant not going to jail and getting and raped by 6'5 Bubbas.
