To shoot the messenger is a ridiculous. I read lots of news from many sources.
However, if you like the WP, read it.
Between the lines, the article sites a shortage of International Longshore and Warehouse Union workers and that they're tired. Essentially, the ports are a clusterfuck of inefficiency.
"Before the pandemic, Ramirez, 44, could make seven round trips in an 11-hour workday. That number fell to just one or two, forcing him to switch to the less crowded overnight shift. Still, his earnings are down 20 percent."
