Chickens are nasty, nasty critters and I am just a bit more than surprised so many municipalities allow for backyard chickens.My daughter spent a year in FFA when in high school, and found out pretty quick from the kids raising chickens just how uber nasty, and cannibalistic they are.
A close friend of my better half is raising 16 or 18 of them in her suburban, backyard coop. The friend was diagnosed with a parasitic infection of the intestine a few weeks back, and the most likely source is from her precious cluckers.
