Our cottage had 3,371kWh in excess of usage. Our renter travels a lot and stays at his girlfriend's place a few days a week, so he only uses about half of what's produced.
On Annual TrueUp, he got a credit for 2.4 cents/kWh ($82.52). After minimum customer charges of $12/month and a CA Credit (-$64.56), the check was $21.63.
Meanwhile the lowest tier rate is about 28 cents. That's a good deal for SDG&E.
