We can see the local fireworks from our house, but the show around these parts started earlier and didn't end until about 11PM. Since we're up on a hill, we can see fireworks shows from Oceanside down to Del Mar. And for a while, I thought some of the shows were running a little longer than the typical end. But it wasn't shows, it was folks all over the place shooting up rockets that looked every bit as good as the professional ones from the shows.

Of course, fireworks are illegal everywhere around here. You can't even get sparklers anymore.
