My first inclination is just to delete this thread. It's obviously political and spun toward 'the science', Facci faithful.

Johnson, who has also advocated for alternative and unproven treatments for COVID-19, said the Monday event in Milwaukee will allow people from across the country to tell their stories and concerns he said have been "repeatedly ignored" by the medical community.

Johnson, who has no medical training or expertise, hasn't been vaccinated, saying he doesn't think he has to because he had the virus last year and formed natural antibodies. He has said he's "just asking questions" and isn't against vaccines, but doctors and other critics have blasted him for spreading misinformation.

First, they slam Johnson's position on some treatments. Many of those treatments are used successfully in other countries. Doctors that have advocated on using some of those treatments in the US are roundly canceled. Only Facci has the answer.

Secondly, one founder of the mRNA discovery claims that the CDC is not doing risk analysis on the vaccines as would be always done which is why vaccines aren't approved for years, unlike the current experimental approval. Of course, there may be some data, but it doesn't seem to be coming out from the CDC. But, heart inflammation is being seen in significant numbers particularly in young adults and those under 18 for the Pfizer and Moderna products. I'm not aware that J&J has been tested for kids, but has it's own risks.

Thirdly, Johnson doesn't want to be vaccinated because he has natural antibodies from a previous infection. The science has proven that he does have natural immunity, the best kind, with no potential for any side effect. That's the science. It's a waste of money unless you want to give more money to big Pharma.

Lastly, from what I've read, second doses seem to produce reactions most often if they are any. Since the first dose provides excellent protection, the risk is much lower of any bad reactions if those younger people simple take one doze. This is about risk/reward. Young folks overwhelmingly have asymptomatic or mild reactions to COVID. The risk of death for them without a vaccine is something a bunch of zeros ending in a 1.

Why do people that are vaccinated care about people that are not at risk choosing to not get vaccinated? Should the unvaccinated be forced to wear masks? Why would you care if you're vaccinated? You can't get COVID? That's the science.
